IoT Lab is a technology lab in Tbilisi. We build low-cost, low-power networks and sensor systems for places where conventional infrastructure is too expensive or too hard to reach: mountain villages, landslide zones, forests.
About the founder
Konstantin Stalinsky founded IoT Lab to bring low-cost connectivity and monitoring to hard-to-reach places in Georgia, including pilot early warning systems for wildfires and landslides. For many years he has trained regional media in digital skills and internet media, and IoT Lab builds web tools for Georgian media outlets.
What we do
- Early warning systems: sensor networks for landslides, seismic activity and forest fires, from pilot to field deployment.
- LPWAN and network infrastructure: LoRaWAN design, rural and mountain connectivity, fiber, BGP and IP transit.
- Consulting: choosing the right technology, budgeting, and preparing projects for donors and public tenders.
- Web tools for media: websites, embeddable widgets and SEO for Georgian news outlets.
- Training: digital skills and digital security for regional journalists and organisations.
Selected work
- Tusheti: connecting the mountains
- Landslide monitoring in Adjara
- Forest fire protection with IoT
- Free Wi-Fi in Ninotsminda
